The guy grip is applied by simply wrapping the legs of the guy grip on the conductor, grounding wire or cable by hand. The guy grip two helical legs wrap into an empty tube, the preform grip head will be closed as a circle.

- Spray sanding is done within the helical wire.
- Make the middle part of the wires to stand and bent into two legs.
- Install the thimble clevis and insert one leg of the preformed guy grip.
- Make the two legs of the guy grip dead end parallel with the cable. Make a color label on the cable and The guy grip color mark fit the label on the cable to grab the legs of the guy grip.
- Continue grabbing the guy grip dead end to ensure the cable is fully wrapped by the preformed grip.
