Special Shape of Span Clamp – Comprehensive Guide
Span clamp is a common device for fixing cables in electrical systems. We are familiar with D, E, Q, and Z types of span clamps. Below, I will introduce you to some special shapes of span clamps to enrich your knowledge so that you can make better choices.
Mid-Span Lashing Wire Clamp
The Mid Span Lashing Wire Clamp is a clamp used for overhead lines, mainly used to fix and protect the guy wire in the middle of the span. The span clamps have two special hooks, shaped like horns, usually used in power lines or optical cable lines.
The Multi-Directional Span Clamp is used in complex circuits. It can gather and branch cables in multiple directions to prevent cables from getting tangled. The strand size is ¼” for the fiber cable clamp. It is usually made of stainless steel.
The Multi-Drop Span Clamp is used for connecting multiple drop cables. Suitable for wire ropes from 1/4″ to 7/16″ in diameter. Installed in the mid-span position, it can effectively improve the stability and safety of the line.
